The poet H.D. Carberry in the poem, Nature, gives us idea of what this beautiful country Jamaica is like.

“We have neither summer nor winter, Neither Autumn nor spring.
We have instead the days when the gold sun shines on the lush green cane fields—Magnificently.
The days when the rain beats like bullets on the roofs.
And there is no sound but the swish of water in the gullies.

And trees struggling in the high Jamaica winds.
Also there are the days when leaves fade from off guango trees.
And the reaped cane fields lie bare and fallow to the sun.
But best of all there are the days when the mango and the logwood blossom.

When the bushes are full of the sound of bees and the scent of honey,
When the tall grass sways and shivers to the slightest breath of air,
When the buttercups have paved the earth with yellow stars
And beauty comes suddenly and the rains have gone.”

On Sabbath, December 19, 2015 about 100 believers came from near and far to our church beside the sea in Annotto Bay, St. Mary. We began the day with our Sabbath School. The lesson for the day was taught by Brother Bruce Ferguson. Following the Sabbath School, eight lovely souls came before the church to answer their Baptismal Vows. These souls pledged  before God and man to be faithful to the end. We then traveled across the road to the seaside where they were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

After the baptism they were then given the right hand of fellowship and welcomed into the remnant church of God. Later in the afternoon we partook of the Communion Service as well as a testimony service which brought us to the end of the Sabbath and a day of praise and thanksgiving.
